About ACE

Adult and Community Education is headquartered in Springfield, Virginia, just outside of Washington, DC and offers a wide variety of courses, certificate programs, and training to adults and children. Established in 1955 by action of the Fairfax County Public Schools School Board, ACE began with 108 students. Now, in its 53rd year of providing lifelong learning opportunities to the community, ACE serves approximately 61,000 individuals each year in 230 school and community facilities.

The ACE mission within the Fairfax County Public School system is to provide lifelong literacy and educational opportunities for all residents, pre-kindergarten through life, through creative use of facilities and implementation of best academic and business practices.
