Grout paterns

The grout patterns of tiled surfaces deliver a layer of texture to your room.  Large tiles, which create fewer grout lines tend to make spaces feel larger than small tiles.  Long straight lines tend to make the tiled surface seem longer, while crossing lines tend to make it feel shorter.  And installing tiles on the diagonal lends drama and size.  The patterns can also virtually disappear if you color-match the grout to the tile.
