Water Damage Mitigation

Typical Causes of Water Damage

Basement Flooding - There are many different ways water can seep into your basement causing water damage, or worse - flooding. Failed water heaters, broken sump pumps, poor property drainage and failures to your foundation are all ways your basement could experience damage.

Leaking Pipes - Small leaks at times can be hard to detect until there are visual signs since the leaks occur behind drywall and other hidden spaces in your home. From pipes in your kitchen and bathroom to basement or garage, undetected water leaks can cause mold if not detected quickly.

Frozen Pipes - When temperatures plummet below freezing, the pipes on your property are at risk of cracking and splitting, which can cause massive amounts of damage in just a short period of time. Our team of professionals can extract the water and mitigate the entire area in order to properly restore your property from water damage

Appliance Failure - Take a minute to imagine the appliances in your home? How many of them depend on water? At times, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines or even water heaters and sump pumps can fail- saturating the surrounding areas with water. Our team can identify and restore all areas of damage - both hidden and exposed.

Hurricane and Storm Damage -  When high winds, heavy rains, and flash flooding occurs, neighboring rivers, streams or creek beds can raise and overflow into your property. With those waters come hazardous materials such as bacteria, E.Coli, microbes, and debris. We have experience handling these types of damages and can not only restore your property but in many cases can save your interior contents as well.

Aftermath of Fire Damage - Fires can be devastating for many reasons. Not only does the fire itself damage your home, but the water to put it out can create even more damage. Using proven water removal and remediation methods and state of the art cleaning equipment, our team can handle both fire and water damage at once.

Plan of Action!

Proper Evaluation - We have a very thorough evaluation process. We do not simply only analyze the affected area, we take it a step further by taking moisture readings in both the affected and unaffected areas to determine a full scope of damage. In addition, we will use modern technology to identify moisture that could have traveled behind the wall boards or beneath floorboard and may not be obvious.

Recommendation of Specialized Drying Procedures - Not all water damage instances are the same, and require different procedures for proper remediation. That is why we do not offer a simple one size fits all approach. Once our technician has completed his thorough evaluation, he will then recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solution for your specific situation.

Accurate Monitoring and Reporting - Once the water has been removed and extracted and the drying equipment is in place, we will be back daily to track the drying progress. It's important to track the drying progress on a daily basis so you and the insurance are not overcharged for our services and you have a dry home as quickly as possible.
